Recognized as the Rocky Mountain News Class 3A top specialist in 2006, Todd garnered All-State honors in multiple sports. His influence extended to lacrosse, where he played a pivotal role in Battle Mountain's 2008 Colorado high school lacrosse championship. Additionally, Todd played a vital part in securing consecutive high school hockey championships in 2005 and 2006.
