Todd's high school years at Battle Mountain High School, under Coach Jason Sedlak, were characterized by outstanding contributions to football, hockey, track, and lacrosse. Recognized as the Rocky Mountain News Class 3A top specialist in 2006, Todd garnered All-State honors in multiple sports. His influence extended to lacrosse, where he played a pivotal role in Battle Mountain's 2008 Colorado high school lacrosse championship. Additionally, Todd played a vital part in securing consecutive high school hockey championships in 2005 and 2006.
